Welcome to the alerts and reminders section of Billink, where you have the power to activate and customize some of the most important functionalities offered by our platform. We understand the significance of timely reminders for patients and the value of email notifications to keep you informed about your payments and remittances. With our statement descriptors, you gain complete control over how payments made from patients to your practice are displayed on their bank statements. Likewise, you have the ability to define how payments made from Billink to your practice appear on your own practice bank statement.

In this section, we will explore the various features and options available to you, allowing you to streamline communication, enhance payment success rates, and maintain complete visibility over your financial transactions. Let’s delve into the details of our reminders and notifications, empowering you to optimize your practice management with Billink.

 

Reminders: 24hr – 48hr – 7Day – 30 Day

To improve payment success rates, Billink offers the option to automatically send reminders to patients if their Billink payment remains unpaid for a certain period. This feature has shown to increase payment success rates by over 30% for some practices. You can choose to send reminders after 24 hours (default), 48 hours, 7 days, and 30 days. It’s important to note that changes to your reminder settings will apply to all future Billinks sent, but will not impact previously sent Billinks. You can easily manage reminders for individual Billinks on the transaction page, allowing you to cancel a reminder at any stage. Notifications:

By default, you will receive a blind carbon copy (BCC) of the payment receipt sent to patients. However, you have the flexibility to turn off this feature and switch it back on at any time. Many practices find this feature useful as it notifies them of a payment being made. If your BCC emails are turned off, don’t worry—you can still download a copy of the receipt from the Transaction section whenever needed.

 

Notify practice on remittance payment:

If enabled, you will receive an email notification whenever a remittance is made from Billink to your practice bank account. The email will provide details of the total value of the remittance, and you can always access a full breakdown of the remittance and charge information in the Payment section of your Billink account. This ensures you stay informed about the financial activity related to your practice.

 

Notify practice when insight report is ready:

We will send you an email notification as soon as your insight report has been generated. The insight report provides a summary of your practice’s performance over the past week, including a detailed breakdown of outstanding fees and charges. Additionally, we offer valuable insights on how your practice is performing compared to the rest of the network. You can find a sample layout of the insight report in the Payments section of this document. You can also access and download your insight reports, as well as previous reports, on demand.
