Welcome to the Payment Summary and Practice Preview section of Billink, where you can gain valuable insights into the financial status of your practice and preview the payment experience your patients will have. This section provides a comprehensive overview of key information related to your funds, remittance schedules, and transaction volume. Additionally, you have the opportunity to explore and assess how your practice profile details are presented to patients.

Payment Summary

Fund Status: Keeping track of your finances

The Fund Status section presents you with four informative “boxes,” each providing essential information about your funds and financial transactions:

In Transit to your bank – This box reflects the value of funds currently en route to your practice bank account. Typically, it takes 1-2 working days for these funds to be credited to your account.

Current Balance Pending Transfer – Here, you can view the current balance in your practice Billink account, which is awaiting deduction of SMS charges and subsequent transfer to your practice bank account.

SMS Balance to be deducted – We deduct SMS charges daily, usually around 5 pm. This box shows the SMS fees incurred within the last 24 hours since the last deduction was made.

Estimated amount for next transfer – This box provides a forecast of the total amount we expect to transfer to your practice on the upcoming payment date.

 

Payouts (Weekly/Daily) – Choosing the Right Schedule

By default, Billink remittances to your practice bank account occur once a week, usually on Monday mornings before 10 am. The weekly remittances incur no additional charges. However, if you prefer daily remittances, you can easily switch to this option by toggling the switch from “weekly” to “daily.” Please note that any changes to the remittance schedule take effect immediately, and you can switch back to weekly payouts at any time.

This screen will ask for confirmation of this change. Note, you can switch back from daily to weekly payouts again at any stage and this change takes place instantly.

 

A quick note on remittance intervals.

Weekly Remittances

 For weekly remittances, payments made up until midnight on Thursday night will be included in the remittance payment on Monday morning. Any payments made after midnight on Thursday night until the following Thursday midnight will be included in the subsequent Monday’s remittance.

Daily Remittances

 In the case of daily remittances, payments made up until midnight on Monday night will arrive in your practice bank account on Wednesday morning. Payments made from Monday midnight until Tuesday midnight will be paid on Thursday morning, and so on.

 

The Volume/Value Graph

The 7-day to 90 day Value/Volume graph provides a visual representation of your practice’s payment activity. By default, the graph displays the “Value” figures, reflecting payments made within a calendar day, regardless of when the Billink was sent. For example, if €8,023 of gross payments were made to your practice on April 28, 2022, those payments, even if sent on earlier dates, will be included on April 28. The value for “Today” will appear in grey until it is finalized. Values can been viewed daily or grouped into weeks for longer time periods. We have also introduced a new selection option at the top of this graph that allows you to segment results by transaction type – eg PIPPO, Virtual Terminal, Physical Terminal, Billink SMS and Website Payments.

You can toggle the top right button from “Value” to “Volume” to switch to the Volume View, which specifically shows the activity related to Billinks sent on a particular day, irrespective of when they were paid. The graph provides insights into the total number of transactions sent, the number of paid transactions, and the overall transaction count.

Clicking the top right toggle from Value to Volume will swich this graph to the Volume view.

Volume View:

This version of the graph shows all activity related to the Billinks sent on the day. Unlike the Value graph only Billinks sent on a particular day will be shown regardless of when they were paid. In the example above there were 307 Billinks sent in total for this practice. The current number of ‘paid’ transactions of the 28th is 79 paid transactions. As the day progresses that number of paid transactions will likely  increase as your patients make their payments to your practice, however the TOTAL number of Billinks sent that day should never change.

The overall number of transactions sent is shown at the top of this graph and currently reads 1,512 transactions. This value should increase as the ‘Today’ transaction count increases – currently it is 351 transactions.

View Your Practices Page

On the top right of the Account page is a really useful button called ‘View Your Practices Page’. This button side loads a preview page of exactly what your patient will see on their phone when they are sent a Billink payment link.

If you’ve changed any of your practice profile details then we recommend  using this page to preview what those changes will look like.
