SEPA Billink Payments Now Available
We have introduced SEPA Debit Payments as a new payment option for transactions of €100 or more. This update is in response to the demand from practices that require a robust solution for larger transactions and third-party payments, such as those made by solicitors in med-legal cases.
Introducing SEPA Debit for Enhanced Transaction Flexibility
Transactions valued at €100 or above can now be settled using SEPA Debit Payments. This method is designed to facilitate situations where card payments may not be feasible or preferred.
SEPA Payment Process
When a Billink transaction is initiated for €100 or more, and sent via SMS link, the SEPA payment option will be presented. Patients choosing this method will be guided to enter their bank details. They will be notified that the payment will be processed pending bank confirmation, which is standard with SEPA and can take up to 5 to 7 days.
SEPA Payment Status Tracking
The transaction page will display a ‘SEPA Pending’ – as shown in the sample version below until the patients bank has approved the payment at which stage we will confirm the payment as Paid and issue a receipt.
Should there be any issues with the SEPA payment, such as insufficient funds or incorrect bank details, the status will revert back to ‘Sent’, and the patient will have the opportunity to submit a new SEPA payment or choose an alternative payment method.
The status icon on the transaction page allows for full visibility into the payment’s progress, giving users the ability to review the transaction’s history from its inception to the final payment.
