SOLO – Getting Started

Website Payments and Prescription Ordering now live.

This morning  – November 30th – we’ve launched a new feature called ‘website payments’. Its available now for all Billink Practices. This feature allows you create and customise charges for any service your practice may provide and take payment online through our unique link or on from your practice website. We’ve built and have a default service ready for you called ‘prescription requests’. This is available right now. You can enable it by simply sliding the ‘activate’ toggle on and sharing your unique link on your practice website or to patients directly.(remember set your prices first! – see the video below). Payments will flow directly to your Billink account as they do with other Billink payments. Transactions will be shown on a new Website Payments Tab.

Here is a quick overview video of the service. More videos to follow and will be added below:

FAQ’s

Q: Is there an additional cost for this service?

A: No.

Q: Can I use this for public as well as private patients?

A: Yes, you can decide what fees to charge. You can set public patients fees to Zero and we will just carry the contents of the message to your Billink dashboard.

Q: Sometimes I need additional information from the patient or may need to tell them their request has been completed (or declined)?

A: You’ve an option to send an SMS to patients directly from the Website Payments page

Q: Does payment and prescription requests sync back to the patients account?

A: Payments sync to your Billink account but not yet to the patient account. We show them in a new tab called website payments but it will be up to you to reconcile this to the patients account. We know this last part to fully sync back to the patient account is crucial and we are committed to delivering this however it does require a ‘matching’ to the correct patient which requires a technical solution with vendors. We’re working on it! In the meantime we believe there is still significant admin time savings in deploying this solution as it is.

Q: Can I refund patients if I decide not to deliver their request/script?

A: Yes, all core functionality such as refunding, cancelling, etc are available for website payments.

Q: Can I batch print off prescription requests to handle in my own time?

A: Yes, this ‘low-tech’ approach has proved very popular in test sites and you can easily batch print from the website payments page.

Q: How do if I know if a website payment has been ‘reviewed’ – and what does ‘reviewed’ mean?

A: All transactions have a ‘reviewed’ or ‘not reviewed’ status. Any human interaction with a transaction will change the status from ‘not reviewed’ to ‘reviewed’. E.g. viewing the transaction details, messaging the patient about that transaction or printing the transaction. For group practices this is a useful way to know which transactions have been seen or not.

Q: There are other status settings too? What are they for?

A: In addition to reviewed/not-reviewed we also have other separate status that can be applied to messages – again really useful if managing requests in a group practice – these include – ‘in process’, ‘declined’ and ‘completed’. You can see at a glance which requests have been taken by other staff members or have been declined.
